Rewardful alternatives in 2026: Kickrail, FirstPromoter, Tolt, PromoteKit and Partnero compared
Prices, revenue caps, payout fees, coupon tracking and migration paths for the five affiliate tools most Stripe SaaS teams look at, checked against each vendor's own pages.
Rewardful is the default affiliate tool for a lot of SaaS companies on Stripe, and for good reason: it is simple and it works. The usual reasons people start looking elsewhere are price as revenue grows, campaign limits on the entry plan, and wanting codes or payouts handled differently.
Every number below comes from each vendor's own pricing or help pages, read on 19 October 2026. Prices change, so check the linked page before you decide. We make Kickrail, so read our row with that in mind.
The short version
| Tool | Entry price | Revenue cap on entry plan | Free plan | Transaction fee |
| Kickrail | $29/mo (Starter) | $10,000/mo | Yes, up to $1,000/mo | 0% |
| Rewardful | $49/mo | $7,500/mo | No (14-day trial) | 0% |
| FirstPromoter | $49/mo | $5,000/mo | No (14-day trial) | None listed |
| Tolt | $69/mo | $10,000/mo | No (14-day trial) | 0%, plus 2% on auto payouts |
| PromoteKit | from $29 | $10,000/mo | Yes, up to 3 referrals | None |
| Partnero | $59/mo billed monthly | No cap | No (30-day trial) | None, 7% on managed payouts |
"Revenue cap" means the monthly revenue your affiliates bring in before you have to move up a plan. It is the number that decides what you actually pay once the program works.
Rewardful
Rewardful's pricing starts at $49 a month for up to $7,500 a month of affiliate revenue, with one campaign and two team members. Growth is $99 for up to $15,000 with unlimited campaigns, a branded portal and a custom domain. Every plan has unlimited affiliates and 0% transaction fees.
It works with Stripe and Paddle, tracks coupons on every plan, and pays out through PayPal and Wise. Its optional managed payouts cost 3%.
Moving off it: Rewardful's API lets another tool read your campaigns, affiliates, referrals and commissions, which is what makes a full import possible.
FirstPromoter
FirstPromoter also starts at $49, but the Starter cap is lower: $5,000 a month, 1,000 affiliates and three campaigns. Business is $99 for up to $15,000. It supports the widest set of billing tools here: Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly and Braintree. Coupons sync to Stripe and affiliates can pick their own codes.
It has admin and tracking APIs, webhooks with delivery logs, and Zapier and Make. If you bill through Chargebee or Recurly, it is one of the few options on this list.
Tolt
Tolt starts at $69 for up to $10,000 a month. That entry plan pays affiliates manually and keeps Tolt's "powered by" link on the portal, which is removed from Pro ($199) upward. Automatic payouts on Growth and up carry a 2% fee and include tax form collection and 1099 filing.
Tolt advertises a one-hour migration from Rewardful, but doesn't say what the migration covers.
PromoteKit
PromoteKit has a free plan for up to three referrals, then a Pro plan from $29 for up to $10,000 a month. It is Stripe only. Affiliate codes are generated when someone joins, and the API and webhooks are on Pro and up. One-click payouts run on Stripe Connect and cost 5% for bank payouts or 8% for card payouts.
Partnero
Partnero is priced on seats and programs rather than revenue: $59 a month billed monthly (or $49 billed annually) for one program and one seat, with no revenue cap. It covers Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee and Shopify, and has the most complete importers of the group: Rewardful, FirstPromoter and Tolt, all by API key. It also runs a directory where creators can find partner programs.
Partnero's managed payouts cost 7%. Paying from your own PayPal or Wise account adds no fee.
Kickrail
Kickrail is affiliate tracking built for SaaS on Stripe. The Free plan covers up to $1,000 a month of affiliate revenue with one campaign. Starter is $29 for up to $10,000 a month with unlimited campaigns, creator codes and a custom portal domain. Growth is $79 for up to $50,000 a month with the API, webhooks and Stripe Connect payouts. There are no transaction fees on any plan.
What it does differently:
- Codes that work at checkout. Every affiliate code is a real Stripe promotion code, so a podcast listener who types JANE20 is credited to Jane without any cookie.
- Server-side attribution. You can report signups from your server with one API call, so ad blockers don't lose referrals. The browser script is a fallback.
- Self-referral checks. Matching emails, company domains and sign-in IPs are flagged and held until you approve them.
- A full Rewardful import. Paste your Rewardful API secret and Kickrail brings over campaigns, affiliates, links, codes, referrals, commissions and paid payouts. Links keep working because
?via=is one of Kickrail's link parameters. The switching guide lists exactly what moves. - An MCP server. An AI agent can set up campaigns, affiliates and portal domains for you through kickrail.com/api/mcp.
Kickrail is Stripe only. If you bill through Paddle, Chargebee or Recurly, FirstPromoter or Partnero will fit better today.
How to choose
- Billing on something other than Stripe: FirstPromoter or Partnero.
- Revenue above $15,000 a month and price-sensitive: compare the cap at your actual revenue, not the entry price. Kickrail Growth covers up to $50,000 for $79; Partnero has no cap.
- Leaving Rewardful without asking affiliates to change anything: Kickrail or Partnero, both import by API key.
- Codes read out on podcasts and videos: a tool that turns affiliate codes into Stripe promotion codes, so the code alone credits the sale. Kickrail and FirstPromoter both sync codes to Stripe.
