FirstPromoter alternative for Stripe SaaS: when Kickrail fits, and when it doesn't
FirstPromoter and Kickrail compared on revenue caps, codes and billing support, with an honest line on which teams should stay on FirstPromoter.
FirstPromoter is a solid affiliate tool with the widest billing support in its class. If you only bill through Stripe, though, you're paying for integrations you don't use, and the entry plan's revenue cap is low. FirstPromoter figures come from its pricing page, read on 19 October 2026. We make Kickrail.

Stay on FirstPromoter if
- You bill through Chargebee, Recurly, Braintree or Paddle. Kickrail can't track those payments.
- You rely on its Zapier and Make integrations.
Kickrail fits better if
- You're Stripe only and growing. At $12,000 a month of affiliate revenue, FirstPromoter needs Business at $99; Kickrail Growth covers up to $50,000 for $79.
- Your affiliates sell with codes. Each code is a Stripe promotion code on your account, so a code typed at checkout credits the affiliate with no click. Change the campaign's discount and the codes move to the new coupon with the same names.
- You want ad-blocker-proof attribution. One server call after signup ties the user to the affiliate, on every plan including Free.
- You'd like an agent to set it up. Kickrail's MCP server lets Claude Code or Cursor install tracking, verify it on your live site and configure campaigns. See setting up with an AI agent.
Moving over
Kickrail's one-step importer is for Rewardful. Coming from FirstPromoter, you add affiliates through the dashboard, the API or the MCP server, and keep your existing link tokens so posted links still resolve: Kickrail listens for ?via= and ?ref= by default, and you can add other parameter names in settings.
