Tolt alternative: Kickrail for Stripe SaaS that wants no branding and no payout fee
Tolt and Kickrail compared on price, the powered-by link, payout fees and migration, for SaaS teams that bill through Stripe.
Tolt is popular with newer SaaS products, and its entry plan includes a high revenue cap. The costs show up elsewhere: branding on the portal until a much higher plan, and a fee on automatic payouts. Tolt figures come from its pricing page, read on 19 October 2026. We make Kickrail.
Side by side
| Tolt | Kickrail | |
| Entry plan | $69/mo | Free, then $29/mo |
| Revenue cap on entry paid plan | $10,000/mo | $10,000/mo |
| Branding removed | Pro, $199/mo | Growth, $79/mo |
| Automatic payouts | Growth and up, 2% fee | Growth, through your own Stripe Connect, no Kickrail fee |
| Tax forms | Collected on automatic payouts, with 1099 filing | W-9 and W-8 collected in the affiliate portal |
| Free plan | No (14-day trial) | Yes, up to $1,000/mo |
Where Tolt is stronger
Tolt files 1099s for you on its automatic payout plans. Kickrail collects W-9 and W-8 forms, encrypts the tax id, and leaves filing to you.
Where Kickrail is different
- Codes that credit at checkout. Every affiliate code is a real Stripe promotion code, so it works on a podcast or video with no link.
- Server-side attribution on every plan. One API call after signup, and later Stripe payments are matched from your webhooks.
- An MCP server. An AI agent can install and verify tracking and set up campaigns for you.
- Open source. Kickrail's code is public under AGPL-3.0, so you can read exactly how a commission is calculated.
Moving over
Tolt advertises a one-hour migration from Rewardful. Kickrail's one-step import is also from Rewardful; from Tolt you add affiliates by dashboard, API or agent, and can keep their existing link tokens. Kickrail listens for ?via= and ?ref= by default and accepts any other parameter name you set.
